五、[设计理念]

新课程理念规定了任务型语法教学应遵循的基本原则:即语言、情景的真实性;任务设计要有创新性;任务的设计要注意循序渐进,由浅入深,有阶梯性;活动的组织、操作应把握学生的心理因素。让学生通过参与、思考、讨论、交流与合作等方式,学习和使用英语,实现目标任务。

六、[设计思路]

1、变换情境,突显语法。可以把语法项目设置至真实的生活情境中来呈现,让学生去感知和体验。

2、聚焦特征,诱思规则。引导学生观察板书的各例句,通过积极推理、对比、假设并实验假设等思维过程来发现语法项目的使用规则。这种探究式学习是新课程重点提倡的学习方式,有利于学生创造性思维的发展。

3、交流发现,评价归纳。让学生分组交流、讨论自我发现的结果。教师适时给予积极评价并对偏面认识给予巧妙点拨,启发其纠正认识。随后师生共同归纳出语法项目结构、意义与功能三个维度的语法规则。

4、梯度操练,巩固应用。根据八年级学生的认知特征,本节语法课考虑到练习由易到难的梯度,口笔头、读和写练习的兼顾,这样的练习设计便于学生顺利掌握英语语法知识与发展语言技能。

七、[教学过程]

Part A: Using may for possibility

Step 1 Presentation

设置情境,老师临上课前走到教室门口,询问学生们May I come in?学生作答Yes,you may,有学生答Yes,you can,有学生回答No,you can’t/mustn’t.老师接着给予引导和点拨,用电子白板呈现本单元Reading部分的关于大熊猫的图片课件,并提问:If we don’t take action, what may happen ? The bamboo forests are becoming smaller and smaller. what may happen to them?引导学生猜测可能性:As a result, pandas may not have a place to live or food to eat .老师总结并用彩色粉笔板书:

may 表示猜测,可能性(用于肯定句中或否定句中),否定形式是may not do... 意为“可能不......” 。e.g.

1. The story may or may not be true.

2. Can that be true? √

May that be true? ×

3. He can’t know the truth.

他不可能知道真相。

He may not know the truth.

他可能不知道真相。

Step 2 Activity

继续呈现几幅动物园里野生动物的课件,问学生:Can we go near the tigers?学生答:No, we can’t .老师启发:Right,why not?because they may hurt us.对在猴山周围徘徊的猴子时说:What is the monkey doing?启发学生回答:The monkey may be looking for some food.鼓励学生四人一组,思考着其他图片中的动物在设定的情境下可能会发生什么情况,让学生感知理解may的句子特征、意义和功能。

Step 3 Exercises

让学生独立完成课本第61页的练习,然后两人一组互相检查,鼓励学生互相问答,进一步体会和理解may的用法。集体核对答案。
